What are the differences between the different events?
-Events move from Downhill to Slalom getting progressively slower and more technical.
-Downhill is the fastest event with the fewest gates. Downhill is considered a speed event.
-Super G (Super Giant Slalom) is second fastest with more gates than downhill. Super G is considered a speed event.
-Giant Slalom is third fastest with more gates than Super G. Is considered a technical event.
-Slalom is fourth fastest with the most gates. Slalom is considered a technical event.
-There are rules regarding number of training runs, course inspections, etc. depending on the event.
